Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Head Butler you will lead a team of 4 in the delivery of an exceptional guest experience of Butler service. Responsible for all aspects of Butler services and in room dining operation, you will have a key focus on continuing to develop the standards and approach, leading your team to deliver a world class service.
  • You will be an accomplished and talented manager with proven experience in managing and developing a team within a high profile environment.
  • An excellent and confident communicator, you will take a hands-on and proactive approach to your role, with a key focus on training, development and succession planning to support service delivery and achievement of departmental goals. Experience within a similar environment would be highly desirable and a sound knowledge of all aspects of Butler service is essential for this role.
  • To serve as host for our suite guests, to ensure that their stay is flawless, and their experience excellent
  • To act as liaison between the between the guest and other departments of the hotel, e.g. Concierge, In-Room Dining
  • To coordinate the servicing of the guest suite, the pick-up and delivery guest laundry, to coordinate the cleaning of guest shoes upon request, and to coordinate and assist in the provision of other services to our guests, e.g. packing and unpacking, and to assist in fulfilling other guest requests.
  • To take ownership of the suite component within the hotel, and in this to support the Housekeeping Associates as needed.
  • To serve in a supporting role to the Housekeeping Unit Manager as needed
  • To serve in a supporting role to the Housekeeping Unit Manager as needed
  • Participation in other departmental projects and activities as necessary.

4 Key Technical Skills:

  • Excellent verbal English, excellent ability to read English
  • Fluency in at least one language in addition to English
  • Good computer skills
  • Able to stand and be physically active for 7.5 hours
